Admission Criteria
Standard admission (recommended)
- Academic: Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in a relevant field (health sciences, public health, medicine, nursing, pharmacy, allied health, health administration, informatics, data/CS, social sciences with health focus).
- Minimum GPA: e.g., 2.5/4.0 or equivalent (institutional policy can set threshold).
- Experience: Preferably ≥1–2 years relevant work experience (health sector, NGO, government, digital health, analytics, emergency response).
- English proficiency (examples aligned with common UAE practice): IELTS Academic ≥6.0 (no band <5.5) or equivalent TOEFL/PTE.
Conditional admission (recommended)
Eligible applicants may be admitted conditionally if they meet academic requirements but:
- English is slightly below threshold (e.g., IELTS 5.5 overall), with:
- mandatory English/academic writing support, and
- achievement of required score (or internal benchmark) by end of first semester.
- Limited background in public health or data:
- complete bridging modules/workshops (non-credit) in epidemiology/biostatistics and/or data literacy.
