
Dr. Sarah Sanad is an accomplished nursing educator and academic leader with over 17 years of experience in higher education, academic administration, and clinical practice. She serves as a Certified Reviewer with the Commission of Academic Accreditation (CAA), UAE, and is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA), UK. Additionally, she is a Certified Digital Teaching and Learning Expert through Blackboard Academy.
Dr. Sanad holds a PhD in Healthcare Management from Hamdan Bin Mohammed Smart University, UAE. Her doctoral research focused on job satisfaction and quality of work life among registered nurses working in Ministry of Health and Prevention hospitals across the UAE. She is also a Critical Care Nurse Specialist, having earned her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Jordan.
Her expertise spans nursing education and curriculum development, program accreditation, simulation-based education, teaching and learning innovation, and quality assurance. She has played a leading role in curriculum reforms, academic planning, and institutional accreditation, ensuring alignment with national standards and competency-based education frameworks. Dr. Sanad has also contributed to institutional strategic development and policy enhancement in her administrative roles.
With extensive teaching experience, Dr. Sanad has led and taught a broad range of undergraduate nursing courses, including Adult Medical-Surgical Nursing, Clinical Pharmacology, Maternal & Newborn Nursing, Critical Care Nursing, Pathophysiology, Leadership & Quality Management in Nursing, Ethical & Legal Issues, Evidence-Based Practice, Public Health Nursing, Fundamentals of Nursing, and Health Assessment. She has supervised numerous undergraduate research capstone projects, guiding students in evidence-based inquiry and scholarly writing.
Dr. Sanad is deeply committed to advancing academic excellence, integrating technology-enhanced learning, and fostering interprofessional collaboration. Her leadership continues to drive innovation and quality in nursing education at both the program and institutional levels.
