Applicants who submit completed  \r\napplication forms and all supporting materials to the Admission &amp; Registration Unit by  \r\nthe specified deadlines shall be notified on their decision through their email. Early  \r\nadmission is granted to outstanding students as evidenced by their high school  \r\nachievements. Fulfilling the following admission requirements does not guarantee  \r\nadmission to a program. These requirements represent a threshold for including the  \r\napplication in the competition pool. Admission is competitive and subject to availability  \r\nof spaces in the desired program. The following stipulations pertain to admission to  \r\nundergraduate programs. Admission requirements for graduate studies are found in the  \r\nGraduate Studies Catalog. Admission Requirements: All applicants must satisfy the  \r\nfollowing basic admission requirements:  <\/p>\r\n<ol>\r\n  <li> Completion of secondary education or an equivalent level with the required  \r\n    average.<\/li>\r\n  <li>The applicant should not have been dismissed from the DMU or any other  \r\n    institution for academic or disciplinary reasons.    <\/li>\r\n  <li>Applicants should indicate their order of preference for program on the  \r\n    application form.    <\/li>\r\n  <li>Applicants are accepted in different colleges and programs according to the  \r\n    student&rsquo;s preference and the grade average and depending on the capacity of  \r\n    each college.    <\/li>\r\n  <li>Applicants should complete and submit the application form and required  \r\n    documents to the Admissions Department by the stated deadlines and pay the  \r\n    non-refundable application fee of AED 1050 (including 5% VAT).    <\/li>\r\n  <li>This application fee is non-refundable if the applicant is rejected or withdrawn  \r\n    from the university.    <\/li>\r\n  <li>The applicants who are still in their high school seats will receive conditional  \r\n    admission until the final results are submitted, and fulfil the requirements based  \r\n    on competitive criteria.    <\/li>\r\n  <li>A student will not be issued an ID or allowed to register for courses unless the  \r\n    admission file is complete, and the tuition fees are paid <\/li>\r\n<\/ol>\r\n<h4 class=\"reveal3 active\">Important General Notes:  <\/h4>\r\n<ul>\r\n  <li> Students fill out the application form personally and are responsible for the  \r\n    accuracy of the information filled. Incomplete applications will not be  \r\n    considered.    <\/li>\r\n  <li> Students are responsible for completing all admission procedures by the  \r\n    specified deadlines, by the instructions of the Admissions Office as announced  \r\n    on the University Website. The university is not responsible for applications not  \r\n    completed by students on time. All students are required to visit the University&rsquo;s  \r\n    website (www.dmu.edu) to learn about the dates and locations of the admission  \r\n    Admission Committee (26-27)  \r\n    exams, English proficiency requirements, and interviews as well as to see the  \r\n    status of their application.    <\/li>\r\n  <li> Admission is granted for the semester to which the student is applying. A  \r\n    student&rsquo;s admission will be -withdrawn if the student does not enroll in the same  \r\n    semester as when the application has been submitted.    <\/li>\r\n  <li>The university does not take the original High School Certificates. Students are  \r\n    required to provide copies certified by the recognized authorities.    <\/li>\r\n  <li>The University reserves the right to increase the fees every year.  \r\n    g. Students shall abide by all other university requirements.    <\/li>\r\n  <li>Academic Qualifications:    <\/li>\r\n  <li>Before being admitted, the student must have completed at least 12 years of  \r\n    school prior to joining DMU. <\/li>\r\n  <li>The applicant should have graduated from a school licensed and recognized by  \r\n    the Ministry of Education in the UAE and must submit a certified copy of the  \r\n    secondary school certificates, with a grade script certified by the school and the  \r\n    Ministry of Education or the Education Zone in the UAE.    <\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<p align=\"justify\">An applicant who attended school outside the UAE should be a graduate of a school  \r\n    recognized by the official education authority in the country of study. Certificates  \r\n    submitted must be authenticated by the Education Authority in the country of study,  \r\n    such as the Ministry of Education, Boards of Education, or the British Council, the  \r\n    Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the country, then the relevant Embassy of the United Arab  \r\n    Emirates or the Embassy of the Country in the UAE, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of  \r\n    the United Arab Emirates. <\/p>\r\n<h4 class=\"reveal3 active\">DMU General Admission Requirements:  <\/h4>\r\n<p>Applicants to different programs of DMU must submit the following:  <\/p>\r\n<ol>\r\n  <li> Attested High School Certificate and transcript (Grade 12 or Equivalent in each  \r\n    curriculum).    <\/li>\r\n  <li>Attested School certificate and transcript for Grade 10 and 11    <\/li>\r\n  <li>Equivalency Certificate from the Ministry of Education (MOE) for High School  \r\n    curriculums other than UAE system:  <br \/>\r\n  <a href=\"https:\/\/www.moe.gov.ae\/En\/EServices\/ServiceCard\/pages\/CertEquivalent.aspx\" target=\"_blank\">https:\/\/www.moe.gov.ae\/En\/EServices\/ServiceCard\/pages\/CertEquivalent.aspx <\/a>    <\/li>\r\n  <li> OR Equivalency Certificate from the Ministry of Education (MOE) for international  \r\n    applicants with  \r\n    certificates:<br \/>\r\n    <a href=\"https:\/\/www.moe.gov.ae\/en\/eservices\/servicecard\/pages\/certequivalent-out.aspx\" target=\"_blank\">https:\/\/www.moe.gov.ae\/en\/eservices\/servicecard\/pages\/certequivalent-out.aspx<\/a>    <\/li>\r\n  <li>Successfully passing the DMU Admission Exam as per each program  \r\n    requirement.    <\/li>\r\n  <li>No English language proficiency requirement is needed for students who  have completed high school in a curriculum where English was the medium of  instruction. <strong>Academic IELTS 5.0<\/strong>&nbsp;(or&nbsp;<strong>TOEFL PBT 500 \/ iBT 61<\/strong>)&nbsp;<strong>or<\/strong>&nbsp;<strong>High  School English &ge; 80% (or equivalent)<\/strong>.<\/li>\r\n  <li> If the English subject  requirement isn&rsquo;t met,&nbsp;<strong>Conditional Admission<\/strong>&nbsp;may be  offered&nbsp;<strong>only<\/strong>&nbsp;to applicants scoring&nbsp;<strong>75%&ndash;79%<\/strong>&nbsp;in  English, provided they either&nbsp;<strong>(1) pass a remedial English course in the  first semester<\/strong>&nbsp;or&nbsp;<strong>(2) submit an English proficiency score  (IELTS 5.0, TOEFL 500, iBT 61) before the start of the first semester<\/strong>.<\/li>\r\n  <li>Successfully passing the interview per program requirements if applicable. <\/li>\r\n<\/ol>\r\n\r\n\r\n \r\n<h6>BPharm\/ PharmD Programs:<\/h6>\r\n <ol>\r\n  <li>Graduation Stream: <\/li>\r\n  <ul>\r\n    <li>Applicants must graduate from the Advanced Stream or equivalent. <\/li>\r\n  <\/ul>\r\n  <li>English Requirements:  \r\n    <br \/>\r\n    Applicants must submit one of the following:  \r\n    o <br \/>\r\n  <\/li>\r\n  <ul>\r\n    <li>TOEFL iBT with a minimum score of 61 or CBT with a minimum score of  \r\n      173 (Institutional TOEFL is not accepted).      <\/li>\r\n    <li>Or Academic IELTS with a minimum Band 5.      <\/li>\r\n    <li>Or Successful completion of the English course in Grade 12 with a  \r\n      minimum score of 80% in the UAE curriculum or its equivalent in other  \r\n      curricula. <\/li>\r\n  <\/ul>\r\n  <li> Mathematics Requirement: <\/li>\r\n  <ul>\r\n    <li>Successful completion of the mathematics course in Grade 12 with a  \r\n      minimum score of 80% in the UAE curriculum or its equivalent in other  \r\n      curricula. <\/li>\r\n  <\/ul>\r\n  <li>Science Subjects Requirement (Chemistry, Biology, or Physics): <\/li>\r\n  <ul>\r\n    <li>Successful completion of any two of these subjects in Grade 12 with a  \r\n      minimum score of 80% in the UAE curriculum or its equivalent in other  \r\n      curricula. <\/li>\r\n  <\/ul>\r\n  <li>Placement Exam:  <\/li>\r\n  <ul>\r\n    <li>Students who score between 75% and 79.9% in Mathematics, English or  \r\n      any two science subjects can take a placement exam prepared by the  \r\n      University &ndash; restricted to one subject only.<\/li>\r\n  <\/ul>\r\n  <li>Remedial Courses: <\/li>\r\n  <ul>\r\n    <li>Students who do not meet the English, Mathematics, or science (scores  \r\n      less than 80%) subject requirements in Grade 12 must enroll in non-  \r\n      credit remedial courses offered by the college or submit IELTS (Score 5). <\/li>\r\n  <\/ul>\r\n  <li>Passing the Interview:    \r\n    <ul>\r\n      <li>As per CAA Standards 2019, applications are screened for completeness,  \r\n        coursework, and grades. Selected applicants are invited for an interview,  \r\n        conducted on campus or online, using a structured rubric. Admission  \r\n        committee members and pharmacy faculty evaluate candidates, who are  \r\n        also briefed on the process.        <\/li>\r\n      <li>Based on interview results and other admission criteria, the committee  \r\n        recommends candidates to the Dean. Applicants are then informed of  \r\n        their admission status (accepted, wait-listed, or denied).        <\/li>\r\n      <li>The interview will be conducted by the program director and admission  \r\n        committee.        <\/li>\r\n    <\/ul>\r\n    <p>\r\n  <\/li>\r\n<\/ol>\r\n<h6>Admission Criteria Per Curriculum  <\/h6>\r\n<p><strong>The UAE Curriculum:      <\/strong>\r\n    <\/p>\r\n<\/p>\r\n<ul>\r\n  <li>Successful completion of the mathematics course in Grade 12 with a minimum  \r\n    score of 80% in the Advanced Stream and 75% in the Elite Stream.    <\/li>\r\n  <li>Science Subjects Requirement (Chemistry, Biology, or Physics): Successful  \r\n    completion of any two of these subjects in Grade 12 with a minimum score of  \r\n    80% in the in the Advanced Stream and 75% in the Elite Stream.    <\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<p><strong>The British Curriculum:  <\/strong><\/p>\r\n<ul>\r\n  <li>Minimum grade of C or 5 in Mathematics and two science subjects &ndash; five O-Level  \r\n    subjects. including English,  \r\n    <br \/>\r\n    and    <\/li>\r\n  <li>A minimum grade of D in two AS-Level subjects including Biology or Chemistry.  \r\n    <br \/>\r\n    OR<\/li>\r\n  <li> A minimum grade of D in one A-level subject including Biology or Chemistry.<\/li>\r\n  <li> Result of Islamic Studies (MOE Exam) for grades 10, 11 and 12 for Muslims who  \r\n    completed High School in UAE    <\/li>\r\n  <li>An Equivalency Certificate from MOE is mandatory    <\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<p><strong>The American Curriculum:  <\/strong><\/p>\r\n<ul>\r\n  <li>Successful completion of the mathematics course or its equivalent (e.g:  \r\n    Calculus \/ statistics) in Grade 12 with a minimum score of 80%.<\/li>\r\n  <li> Science Subjects Requirement (Chemistry, Biology, or Physics): Successful  \r\n    completion of any two of these subjects in Grade 12 with a minimum score of  \r\n    80%.<\/li>\r\n  <li>Applicant has to complete SAT1 Mathematics with a minimum score of 450 or  \r\n    equivalent as per MOE Equivalency requirements    <\/li>\r\n  <li>Result of Arabic (MOE Exam) for grades 10, 11 and 12 for Arabic passport holders  \r\n    who completed High School in UAE <\/li>\r\n  <li>Result of Islamic Studies (MOE Exam) for grades 10, 11 and 12 for Muslims who  \r\n    completed High School in UAE    <\/li>\r\n  <li>An Equivalency Certificate from MOE is mandatory.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<p><strong> The International Baccalaureate Curriculum (IB Diploma):<\/strong><\/p>\r\n<ul>\r\n  <li>Applicants must achieve a minimum of twenty-four points.    <\/li>\r\n  <li>Applicant must complete three science subjects including Biology and  \r\n    Chemistry    <\/li>\r\n  <li>Applicant must achieve four points in two high level subjects.    <\/li>\r\n  <li>Result of Islamic Studies (MOE Exam) for grades 10, 11 and 12 for Muslims who  \r\n    completed High School in UAE    <\/li>\r\n  <li>An Equivalency Certificate from MOE is mandatory.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<p> <strong>Indian Curriculum:  \r\n    <\/strong><br \/>\r\n    <strong>CBSE:<\/strong><\/p>\r\n<ul>\r\n  <li> Applicants must achieve in grade 12 equivalent to 60% in the Science Stream -  \r\n    according to WES.    <\/li>\r\n  <li>Result of Islamic Studies (MOE Exam) for grades 10, 11 and 12 for Muslims who  \r\n    completed High School in UAE    <\/li>\r\n  <li>An Equivalency Certificate from MOE is mandatory.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<p><strong> State Board:  <\/strong><\/p>\r\n<ul>\r\n  <li>Applicants must achieve grade 12 equivalent to 60% in the Science Stream -  \r\n    according to WES.    <\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<p><strong>Pakistani Federal Board:  <\/strong><\/p>\r\n<ul>\r\n  <li>Applicants must achieve in grade 12 equivalent to 60% in the Science Stream -  \r\n    according to WES.    <\/li>\r\n  <li>Result of Islamic Studies (MOE Exam) for grades 10, 11 and 12 for Muslims who  \r\n    completed High School in UAE    <\/li>\r\n  <li>An Equivalency Certificate from MOE is mandatory.    <\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<p><strong>Additional Information for Secondary School Qualifications Obtained Outside UAE:    <\/strong><\/p>\r\n<p>Applicants with high school certificate obtained outside the UAE &ndash; Students are required to submit the equivalency certificate by the end of the  \r\n    first semester, failing which they may be withdrawn from the program.    <\/p>\r\n<p>Passing the Interview:  <\/p>\r\n<ul>\r\n  <li>As per CAA Standards 2019, applications are screened for completeness,  \r\n    coursework, and grades. Selected applicants are invited for an interview,  \r\n    conducted on campus or online, using a structured rubric. Admission  \r\n    committee members and pharmacy faculty evaluate candidates, who are  \r\n    also briefed on the process.    <\/li>\r\n  <li>Based on interview results and other admission criteria, the committee  \r\n    recommends candidates to the Dean.
