This commitment is formalized through specific departments dedicated to student welfare and success.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Institutional Responsibility<\/strong><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">The mandate for promoting diversity and inclusion among students belongs to the Deanship of Student Affairs (DSA) and the elected Student Council.\nDeanship of Student Affairs (DSA) Role: The DSA is specifically tasked with promoting diversity and inclusion initiatives and creating a welcoming and inclusive campus environment for students from all backgrounds.\nStudent Voice and Representation: The elected Student Council, which operates under the coordination of the DSA, plays a key role in supporting this mission by actively promoting Diversity and Inclusion and fostering an environment that provides equal opportunities for all students.\n<\/p>\n<p><strong>Core Principles of Student Equity<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul class=\"list angle-double-right\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n\t<li><strong>Equal Opportunity in student admission:<\/strong>\n\t<ul class=\"list\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n\t<li>DMU operates as an equal opportunity institution that will not distinguish between race, religion, or gender when admitting and formulating an offer to an applicant.<\/li>\t\n<\/ul><\/li>\n\t<li><strong>Freedom from Discrimination and Harassment:<\/strong>\n\t<ul class=\"list\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n\t<li>Students are legally entitled to respect in an educational environment which is free from threat, harassment, abuse, or discrimination.<\/li>\t\n<li>DMU strictly prohibits discrimination, non-tolerance, and hate speech.<\/li>\n\t<li>Any student misconduct that compromises academic integrity or community standards, including harassment or bullying, is subject to disciplinary action.<\/li>\n<\/ul><\/li>\n\t<li><strong>Support for Students of Determination (SOD):<\/strong>\n\t<ul class=\"list\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n\t<li>DMU operates as an inclusive community committed to addressing the educational needs of its Students of Determination (SOD) on campus.<\/li>\t\n<li>Students requiring support must submit an official medical report of their diagnosis.<\/li>\n\t<li>Appropriate accommodation is provided on campus depending on the students&#8217; educational needs to support them in achieving their goals.<\/li>\n<\/ul><\/li>\n\t<li><strong>Holistic Wellbeing:<\/strong><ul class=\"list\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n\t<li>The DSA provides holistic support focusing on students&#8217; physical, mental and emotional wellbeing.
