September 14, 2026 \u2013 Dubai Medical University \u2013 College of Pharmacy faculty, Dr. Naglaa Saad, Associate Professor, Assistant Dean \u2013 Quality & Accreditation and Head of the Integrative Medicine Department at the College of Pharmacy, Dubai Medical University, participated in the 25th International Congress of the International Society for Ethnopharmacology<\/strong>, held in Foligno, Italy, from 14\u201317 September 2026<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr. Saad contributed to the congress through an oral presentation entitled \u201cMetabolomics-Guided Identification of Anticancer-Associated Metabolites in Indigofera oblongifolia and Indigofera colutea.\u201d<\/strong> The study integrated UHPLC-MS metabolomic profiling, chemometric analysis, and cytotoxicity evaluation to investigate the relationship between metabolite composition and anticancer-associated activity in two Indigofera species collected from the UAE.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The congress brought together researchers and experts in ethnopharmacology and related disciplines from across the continents to discuss advances in medicinal plants, traditional medicine, natural products, and their pharmacological applications.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
