Baig, Professor of Pharmacy Practice at Dubai Medical University, recently delivered a talk on \u201cEmbedding Pharmacovigilance Activities in Clinical Trials\u201d at the 5th Edition Drug Safety Symposium 2026 \u2013 Middle East Chapter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Prof. Baig emphasized the critical importance of integrating pharmacovigilance early in clinical trial design to enable early signal detection, proactive risk management, and enhanced patient safety, ensuring that safety systems are built in, not added later. His insights strongly reinforced the role of academic leadership in shaping safer, more ethically grounded clinical research.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Acknowledged as a leading pharmacovigilance (PV) event in the region, the symposium persists in its objective to enhance patient safety and regulatory standards throughout the Middle East.
