{"id":17722,"date":"2025-11-17T06:54:22","date_gmt":"2025-11-17T06:54:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dmu.ae\/home\/?post_type=blog_post&#038;p=17722"},"modified":"2025-11-19T06:56:50","modified_gmt":"2025-11-19T06:56:50","slug":"dubai-medical-university-college-of-pharmacy-students-shine-at-emirates-pharmacy-society-conference","status":"publish","type":"blog_post","link":"https:\/\/dmu.ae\/home\/blog-post\/dubai-medical-university-college-of-pharmacy-students-shine-at-emirates-pharmacy-society-conference\/","title":{"rendered":"Dubai Medical University College of Pharmacy Students Shine at Emirates Pharmacy Society Conference"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p align=\"justify\">On November 16\u201317, 2025, at the 1st Emirates Pharmacy Society Conference: \u201cAdvancing Pharmacy, Leading Tomorrow,\u201d held in Dubai, UAE, fifth-year students from the College of Pharmacy \u2014 Dania Abaji, Tasneem Zarzour, Rim Jabr, and Enana Al-Fakih \u2014 under the supervision of Dr. Rana Sammour, achieved Second Place in the student research competition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p align=\"justify\">Their project, titled \u201cMediCycle: AI-Driven Solutions for Sustainable Pharmaceutical Waste Management,\u201d was recognized for its innovative use of AI technology and smart systems to promote environmental sustainability and responsible medication disposal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p align=\"justify\">The initiative was commended for its potential real-world application, with possible collaborations under discussion with Beeah and other sustainability partners.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p align=\"justify\">In addition, two other students from the <strong>College of Pharmacy at Dubai Medical University<\/strong>,&nbsp;<strong>Ms. Marwa Hadi<\/strong> and <strong>Ms. Jumana Al-Ansari<\/strong>, showcased their innovative research project titled&nbsp;<em>\u201cPharmaTwinX: The Novel Dual Digital Twin AI Model for Precision Medicine Pharmacotherapy\u201d<\/em> at the&nbsp;<strong>First Emirates Pharmacy Society Conference<\/strong>.
